I found myself caught in no man's land between Eye Med and MVP Insurance on a reimbursement matter. I went to the Eye Care Center for assistance in breaking the stalemate. A lady, I believe her name was Rebecca, proved to be not only knowledgeable but went the extra mile to be helpful as well. After looking at the various pieces of paper that I had received from MVP she said, "I think I know what the problem is", called an associate to confirm her theory and to solicit new paperwork with different "coding" that I needed. Rebecca then asked if I would like her to complete everything on a new form that I had to complete and resubmit. I of course took her up on her gracious offer. She then proceeded to complete everything on that form for me except my name and address. Within fifteen minutes of walking into the Eye Care Center with a problem, I was walking out with the paperwork necessary to resolve the matter. And thanks to Rebecca, all I was left to do was add my name and address on one form.

I had my yearly check-up at ECC in Canandaigua today and as usual, experienced nothing but the greatest care from all technicians (Emma and Mike I believe) and physician (Dr. Ceravolo). No matter how busy the office was today, when I was in a room with each of those 3 incredible professionals, I was the center of attention and care! At no time did I feel hurried so they could get to the next patient. All my questions and concerns were answered respectfully and with appropriate detail. Every aspect of the office was impeccable and every member buzzed about with great energy and smiles. I know I received the best eye care possible and I am grateful for it and those who took care of me today! Many thanks!!

Most people have cataract surgery and are wearing new glasses or no glasses within a few weeks. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. My eyes score in the first percentile for size. Dr Hindman told me right from the start that there would be swelling, potentially lots. And there was. Dr. Hindman walked me through every step of the surgery and recovery. She is patient and thorough. She explains procedures and options clearly. She is an extremely accomplished doctor and I think she is the best! Thank you, Dr. Hindman.

While all of the drs. at The Eye Care Center are the best, special appreciation to Dr. Hwang. Dr. Hwang diagnosed my daughter with Glaucoma a few years ago. He has been treating her and taking the best care of her since then. She is doing very well because he truly cares. This was after paying another vision care office an extra $40.00 to be tested for glaucoma etc. which was not found, only to be told she has “boring old eye balls”…. Dr. Hwang performed my cataract surgery a few years ago — and I am doing very well. Many thanks!

I just want to thank all the staff for their expertise and kindness in making my cataract surgery (for both eyes) the best experience possible. I can see better than I ever expected (being able to drive without my contacts or glasses!). The original pre-surgery exam was seamless, and the surgery itself as low-stress as possible, thanks to the expert and attentive staff.

Love Dr. Rothstein. She did an excellent job fixing my eyelid. I highly recommend her.

My eyelid surgery experience was excellent. The intake appt. was very efficient and Dr. Rothstein addressed my concerns about having the procedure. I wear scleral lenses to treat severe dry eyes. Kathy, the Patient Services Coordinator, made the arrangements and kept me informed of preparations pre-procedure. I just had my final post-op exam and have healed nicely. No adverse effect on my dry eyes! So happy that I decided to make the short trip from Rochester to benefit from Dr. Rothstein's superb expertise.

I recently had my eyelids lifted as it was difficult to read. Dr. Rothstein did the surgery. It is amazing! I have no difficulty in doing anything now. Have had many compliments on how even my eyes are . I am so pleased with Dr. Rothstein. She is wonderful, pleasant, excellent at her work. I would recommend her to everyone. I have been a patient of the Eye Care Center for 25 yrs. & recommend it to everyone.

Dr. Hindman recently performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes (2 weeks apart). She and her team were so professional and friendly and I had no apprehension going for the surgery. The procedure itself is no more than 10-15 minutes and Dr Hindman explained what she was doing thru out. I had a wonderful experience with them all and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I can see clearly now 🎶 I’ve set up an appointment to see Dr Rothstein regarding eyelid surgery and would recommend the Eye Care Center to anyone.

Dr Hwang recently performed a tricky cataract/scar tissue surgery on an eye having previously had a vitrectomy and retina repair. He was immensely patient with all my questions and anxiety. He did an excellent job on my eye and I highly recommend him!

I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes performed by Dr. Hwang at the Canandaigua location with follow up in the Geneva location. Everyone was friendly and professional during the entire process. All of my questions and concerns were addressed professionally. I recommend The Eye Care Center to anyone needing eye care.

Dr. Rothstein recently did eyelid surgery for my upper eyelids. I am very pleased with the entire process including all of the staff from the check in process, to billing, to check out! But mostly I'm extremely pleased with the professional care I received from Dr. Rothstein. She explained everything throughout the process. And now I can see so much better and my eyelids are even!!! My cataract surgery was performed by Dr. Hwang at the Ambulatory Surgical Center in Geneva, with follow up care at the Canandaigua Office. Both eyes were done about 2 weeks apart. Dr. Hwang and the entire team, take-in, scheduling and actual surgery, did a wonderful job. The staff was prompt and caring; explanations were detailed. A special Thank You to the nurses at the surgical center who made me feel at ease and who worked in a very professional manner.

I had cataract surgery (first eye 08/01/2022; second eye 08/15/2022). I had an amazing and exceptional experience. Wait time prior to all visits were minimal. The entire staff who walked me through the process were very knowledgeable and pleasant. Scheduling the surgery with Cindy was easy and she was very explicate. The surgical process was comfortable and painless. I will continue to highly recommend Dr. Hwang and his entire staff and I will have no hesitation to use the Eye Care Center again in the future if it ever arises that I need additional eye care. I wish I could have remembered all the names of all the staff, including the young man who prepared me prior to each surgery and the nurse who assisted Dr. Hwang during the surgery, so that I could praise them individually.

I had bilateral upper lid blepharoplasty done by Dr. Rothstein. Dr. Rothstein was very professional, explained the procedure in detail and answer all of my questions. Kathy O'Brien, the Surgery Scheduler, worked with me to schedule the procedure and kept on top of the insurance authorization. Kathy also answered all my questions. Both put me at ease and I am very pleased with the results. Thank you to Dr. Rothstein and the Eye Care Center staff.

I became a patient of the center by a recommendation of my friend. I was very happy to meet the most friendly staff here, who helped me a lot. The frond desk Ashley was incredibly nice. I had an appointment at 10:00. My ride [Medicaid Transportation] called me at 10:05 to let me know they were on the way. My ride was totally lost and he drove WAY past my stop. I kept telling him, "It's right by Thompson Hospital", but he never bothered to listen to me & kept relying on his GPS. By the time I arrived, it was 10:20. I was sure that I would be denied my appointment & be rescheduled. [THANK You, Lord!] I had ALL THREE appointments done in one appointment, even though my ride made me very late! In the final outcome, [Field Vision Test, Pressures Checked & looking into my eyeballs], everything looked normal! [Thank You, also, Lord, for that outcome and for something to happen so that I could get everything done and checked!]

The Eye Care Center has such amazing doctors, Technicians, employees, eyewear, and other products. Everyone is professional, courteous, friendly, and helpful!!! I also had surgery to remove skin tags on my upper and lower eyelids. There was little to no scarring!! I was impressed!! I will continue to go to The Eye Care Center in the future!!
