Central Sterile Processing Technician
Locations: Canandaigua Office
The Central Sterile Processing (CSP) technician coordinates and fulfills the overall cleaning decontamination, assembly and dispensing of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies inventory, ordering, and management as needed for daily surgical procedures and related departments to run safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include learning and properly performing all aspects of sterile processing including, safe handling of instruments, universal precautions, aseptic technique, knowledge of sterilization methods, instruments name and uses, types of procedures performed, and documentation requirements. THe CSP Technician will understand each team member's role to assist in the safe and efficient care of patients.
Previous experience and / or LPN, CNA, CMA, COA, preferred but not required.
Central Service Sterile Processing certification and/or training may be expected within the appraisal period (90 days).
