(Canandaigua | Geneva | Newark) Deneil Hinman, OSC, was recently promoted to the position of Surgery Scheduling Supervisor. Hinman works with patients through The Eye Care Center, at offices in Canandaigua, Geneva and Newark.
“It’s exciting that Deneil has earned this promotion,” said Practice Administrator Terry Parsons, COE. “Her expertise and commitment to ensuring excellent eye care services for our patients will play a crucial role in the continuing growth of The Eye Care Center.”
Hinman coordinates details for patients who need surgery and she works closely with physicians, staff and multiple surgery locations to ensure they receive all the necessary information. The goal is to make the process easy and efficient for patients, providing accurate, timely and responsive information, even when new equipment is introduced. Counseling patients for surgery is another important part of this position. Hinman schedules surgeries, organizes pre-operative testing, writes orders and collects necessary documentation. Her understanding of CPT codes and ICD-10 coding is important in this new role. She also supervises staff.
Hinman lives in Canandaigua, after attending Honeoye Central school and growing up in the Honeoye area. She earned her Associates Degree at Bryant and Stratton College and participates in events held by the Professional Women of the Finger Lakes. In her spare time, Hinman enjoys spending time with family and hiking, golf and softball.
