(Canandaigua, NY) Taylor Cerniglia is now a fully licensed NYS optician, after passing a four-hour exam in Albany and completing 2400 hours of practical work over a two-year period. Recently recognized, Cerniglia received her Licensed Dispensing Optician designation from the American Board of Opticianry.
“It’s exciting that Taylor has passed her program and is now a fully licensed NYS optician,” said Optical Manager Carol Marx, LDO, FCLSA, “Her expertise is coming at a time that is significant for The Eye Care Center, with the opening of the new Optical Boutique at our Canandaigua location.”
Through her work at The Eye Care Center, Cerniglia handles adjustments, ordering, frame styling, neutralizing, and dispensing glasses to patients. Her goal is to make the process easy and efficient for patients.
Cerniglia grew up in Canandaigua and went to Marcus Whitman High School, where she graduated with honors and a regents diploma. During that time, she was president of her graduating class, and was a member of Leo’s Club and the National Honor Society. She completed her associates degree in liberal arts at Finger Lakes Community College and currently lives in Crystal Beach, NY.
